Pencil Park Playground
A newly renovated playground is a great addition to our play area! This playground is a great improvement on an already fantastic space. It has a lot of new equipment, including a mini trampoline, zip liner, rock-climbing walls and net tunnel, inclusive carousel, swings and musical chimes. There’s even a small obstacle course!
A beautiful lake is also available with a walkway that crosses the bridge. It leads through wetlands, where ducks swim and frogs sing. It is simply stunning and unpredicted.
We loved also watching the locals practice tai-chi in the morning sunlight.
You can enjoy a picnic or kick a football in the many open fields.
This is a great spot for a sunday stroll. There are no bathrooms.
The Pencil Playground at Hidden Grove Reserve was renovated with a new, larger playground. A playground design proposal was requested by the client to create a play area that is visually interesting, challenging, and fun for children of all abilities.
Proludic’s award winning Kanope range includes a Multiplay unit. This unit combines a modern, streamlined aesthetic with natural inspirations. The Kanope Multi-Play is a modular play system that allows for more play options and encourages creativity and imagination. The Climbing Hut , equipment from the Proludic natural play area and the Balance Hut are other play elements that offer climbing and balance challenges.
The customized Wetland-themed Play Panel was specifically designed to blend in with the park’s natural and wetland elements. You will also find dynamic play options such as a trampoline, trampoline, trapeze, spinning rope pyramid net, cableway, springers, and an inclusive carousel. Additional sensory and inclusive play options for young children are provided by the Chimes Solo.
When I saw that the playground was being upgraded, I was concerned. Had the huge pencils been reduced to stubs? They were proudly displayed next to the playground, with no pencil sharpener visible. This renovation was a huge success. It oozes cuteness, fun, and joy.
The centre contains a climbing frame that has two metal slides, several ladders, climbing walls, frog hand hold climbing walls, and a rope net tunnel bridge. A flying fox, log climbing walls with climbing holds and two standard swings are also included.
A shelter is available with tables, barbecues, and water taps. There are large grassy areas, and 50m further along the path, there are enormous wooden bird sculptures. The only negative is that it is close to a wetlands area with very deep water. You can still make this a positive by exploring the wetlands, which feature boardwalks as well as many information boards.
